Tutankhamun was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from 1332 BC to 1323 BC during the 18th dynasty. He ascended to the throne after the death of his father, Akhenaten. Tutankhamun's reign was relatively insignificant in terms of political and military achievements, but he is well known for his tomb, which was discovered almost intact by British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922. The tomb held a treasure trove of artifacts and objects, including a sarcophagus, masks, jewelry, weapons, and furniture, which provided valuable insights into ancient Egyptian burial practices and art. Tutankhamun is also famous for his association with the god Amun, whose name he added to his own. His death, at the age of 19, remains a mystery, but recent studies suggest that he may have suffered from a genetic disorder and complications from a broken leg.
